# Mission paragraph

> One canonical paragraph used in proposals, board reports, donor
> letters, and the Communications team's reference library. Re-review

## One sentence (use in LOI hook, cover-letter signoff)

## Don'ts

- Don't use "movement" without modifier — say "the freedom movement."
- Don't substitute "liberty" for "freedom" silently — both are in use;
  match the proposal context.
- Don't lead with founding history ("Founded in 1981…") — that's a
  history-first opening, which the proposal-factory rubric scores Fail.
- Don't claim Atlas trains partners directly in policy work — Atlas
  trains partner *staff*; partners do the policy work.
